About Me

• Right Now:

  My name is Katrina, but a lot of people on the 'net call me Kat. I'm a teen living on the East Coast. I'm currently a cosmetology apprentice and occasionally I freelance as a makeup artist. I've been modeling for about six years now (both as an agency represented and freelance model) and would love to pursue that further if the right opportunity comes up. I'm a self-taught webdesigner, and I've been creating and designing my own sites for nine years. Within the next year or so I would love to move to a large city or somewhere overseas - anywhere with a lot of people and a good fashion scene. I feel really good about how my life is going at the moment, but if something terrible happens and I have a mid-mid-life crisis, I'll join in on the hunt for Nessy the Lochness Monster...and don't you dare think I'm kidding!

• Outlook:

  I fit the Pisces stereotype to a T, so I'm pretty easygoing, gentle, good natured, compassionate, sensitive, imaginative, artsy and versatile. I want to travel the world, meet a lot of interesting people, see a lot of interesting places, and have a lot of interesting stories to pass onto others. Making people smile makes me smile. My main thing is to have fun, and I live by the idea to "treat others as you would want to be treated".

• In a Nutshell:

  In my spare time, I enjoy baking yummy desserts, playing cute video games, shopping for vintage dresses, sewing stuffed animals for friends, stenciling and reconstructing my clothes, collecting vinyl figurines, going to concerts, trying out exotic foods, and of course hanging out with my close friends :).

• Favorite Foods: I LOVE eating - good thing I got lucky with my metabolism :P! I like pretty much anything Italian or Japanese. I'm a pescetarian (a vegetarian who eats fish), so I love sushi or seafood mixed with pasta.
• Favorite Bands: I mainly like punk or electro bands, but I can enjoy most things with a great beat or catchy lyrics. My favorite bands are The Misfits, The Ramones, Alkaline Trio, The Dresden Dolls, and Romak & The Space Pirates.
• Favorite Movies: My friends usually pick on me for not getting their movie references, but the truth is, very few movies are able to hold onto my short attention span! My favorite movies are Donnie Darko, The Crow, Amelie, and Everything is Illuminated.
• Favorite Games: It's no secret - I love playing Scrabble and Monopoly. I also enjoy playing my old NES games like Mario and Kirby's Adventures, cutesy games like We Love Katamari and Katamari Damacy, I've yet to find a Nintendo DS game that I don't like, and don't even get me started on my Wii! I'm also really good at hand-eye coordination games like Dance Dance Revolution and Guitar Hero.
